Riff: Eric Church – “Creepin'”

Dec 19, 2012

Your cocaine kiss and caffeine love/Run under my skin and into my blood

from Creepin' lyrics by Eric Church

“Creepin” is probably a top-40 hit because it has a few mass-appeal country-pop clichés (comparing “your love” to drugs and trains, drowning sorrows in liquor over 80’s drums), but throws in some sweet steel guitar solos and banjo work. Overall – positive shrug. Church’s vox – bleh.
