Don Cheadle is a man of many talents. In addition to being a criminally underrated actor, he’s also an adept lyricist who can slang bars better than half the goobers in mainstream rap.

In a recent episode of The Late Late Show with James Corden, Elizabeth Olsen who plays Scarlet Witch in the Avengers: Infinity War asked why they edited a skit out where the cast rode around Los Angeles in a tour bus. She was particularly upset that they didn’t air a clip of Don Cheadle (who plays War Machine) freestyling with bandleader Reggie Watts.

Always a gentlemen, Corden decided to air the clip and show the world just how skilled Cheadle is. Cheadle warmed the cast up with a simple verse:

Down Melrose, your hands and toes
Please keep them inside the bus

And then hit them with a jolt, offering a nugget of exclusive information on what’s to come:

We Avengers, now you remember
We did this thing, we gonna be back in December
That’s the word I heard
Lots of reshoots
You know that final battle scene was just a poo-poo

Cheadle isn’t the only Avenger who can spit hot fire. Just a few short months ago Black Panther actress Letitia Wright was recorded kicking a filthy verse. She followed it up with another freestyle on The Tonight Show, proving that the Avengers cast is as fierce on the mic as they are on screen.

Between Wright and Cheadle, the Avengers might have to combine forces yet again, but this time in the recording booth. No need to hire musicians for a soundtrack when you have hidden musical talents like this.
