  evrybody's kinda sayin the same thing... "it's about pot" or "it's about taking yourself to a better place..." it's kinda redundant cuz thats usually the reason for smokin pot in the first place (to escape to a better place or just have fun). personally, i felt the theme was moreso directed to non-conformity; and even THAT is close to the other themes. you can support any of the 3 points with text but honestly, only the writer of the song can tell you for sure.

  Honestly, I love three days grace. They're my favorite band. And from what I read from the lyrics, it seems as if it COULD be about drugs. Since drugs are a big issue apparently, most artists have a song about it. (At least with the music I listen to, the bands seem too -_-) BUT, we obviously have no real idea since we weren't there when these lyrics were being written :/ So, to conclude my own OPINION, I think this song has the potential to be about anything... :D

  Listen guys, I myself smoke pot, same with my boyfriend... it is debatable whether or not it is addictive or not.. My boyfriend refuses to stop smoking or even to cut down on it. I think it is only because of the happiness it brings you for those few hours [depending on what you inhale] That's what's addictive, not the herb itself.

  I love this song! I'm a huge fan of Three Days Grace and now that I look at the comments and read the lyrics again it does seem like drugs. But there's nothing wrong with that. Like they ARE rockstars and lots of people take drugs. I'm not saying drugs are good though.

  the person who said this is a f***** ruhtard, no offense. pot CAN be addictive. and does anyone on here who does NOT smoke pot actually even have a real understanding of what it does to you? personally, i know someone who is addicted to marijuana. the addiction to pot is not chemical, its mental. the person i know, when they dont have pot they go off the deep end. they start acting like they were doing coke instead of weed. if youve ever seen someone having withdrawals then you should know what i mean. this person also starts getting sick, violent, and becomes just plain crazy. think of how a persons attitude is if they smoke cigs. those are chemically addictive. now think of how they act when they dont have them. their mood goes all to hell. they become irritated, bitchy. thats how pot is with ppl who are addicted to it(10 times worse though), except its not chemical. being addicted to something mentally is just as bad or worse than being addicted to something chemically. if addicted to pot a persons mentality can change drastically if they dont have it. especially if they do it to get away from a horrible life. maybe theyve been abused or abandoned. the pot helps them cope, it makes them forget all those bad things so they become addicted to the feeling it gives them. if this is the case for some ppl then without the feeling that pot gives them they can become depressed or even suicidal. truthfully, i dont see pot as a bad thing. and ppl who do, dont really have an open mind. and to all you high strung christians who think ppl who smoke pot are going to hell, think again. pot is a PLANT. god put it on this earth. it wsant created by man. the only reason ppl dont like it is bc its illegal. and the only reason its illegal is bc the gov&#039t cant tax it. ppl can grow it in their back yards, so its kind of hard to tax it. thats the only reason. also, doesnt it make sense that god would want us to embrace our fellow man and not judge? most "christians" today judge everyone around them.

  I agree with this person. Some songs are just meant to be able to relate to the listener no matter what their situation in life is. And I believe this is one of those songs. I personally have a problem with drugs so I can relate to that meaning. But I've read what other people think and then I listened to the song and they are all right in my opinion.
