I was looking thru xx lyrics and saw the word infinity..it was the name of mine and my exs falling anthem. I clicked on it thinking what could be the odds that it would somehow relate to us, but as I scrolled through the lyrics mmy heart stopped. I know he isn't the one for me, nor am I the one for him any longer but somehow, someway, even after all the shit we've put each other through..specially what he did to me..I still 'hang high for his return'..and its tru 'the stillness is a burn'. It's so crazyseeing your story played out in writing, and ur forced to view things clearer outside the box. And after playing so cold and acting so perfect the lyrics just break you down immediately. We were on n off for 4 years, very tumultuous relationship. And though I've been with hotter guys since we broke up who treat me worlds better I still can't give it up, as in my heart..at least the way I did w him. Ironic how his "leaving had no goodbye", he knew "I was left lost and lonely" and its funny how we literally once did "wish for infinity". It breaks my heart knowing I care too much, when he should be halfway to hell. I guess that's the way tru lov works, as socretes said-"the coldest lov has the coldest end"

So there's this girl. We met during class, we were forced to work together as part of a group project. But towards the end, we got closer and closer. This is the first time i ever became attracted to a girl primzarily because of her personality and the "connection" we shared. The term hazs ended we said our goodbyes. On the walk home whilst reminiscing about the good times we shared. It finally hit me that after months of intense working together I had perhaps fallen in love with this girl. But the way our course workzs, I won't see her again for another 8 months. Now when I think about her and the way we left it it hurts. I wonder why it took me so long to rezalise how I felt about this girl and how it took me so long to realise my true feelings. I wonder if she feels the same way...

This song relates to my life in that I have had a 2 year on and off again relationship with a man who is not wanting to commit to me becsuse of his recent divorce and fears. He also is younger and wants to possibly have more children with someone more his age. My children are college aged and I am done having babies. We are in totally different places in our lives but yet we have an amazing chemistry and can't seem to let the other one go. He trys or I say no more but we each find ways back to each other. Bitter sweet relationship... Can't move on because I can't let go. I want to believe that it could work but he won't give us a chance. He wants other things in life. We feel trust and safe with each other and it's comfor table and good it's just we can't take it to the next level and so we stay in limbo status. It is not an easy place to be. Can't live with each other and can't live without...Can only wonder how much longer we csn keep going on like this...This is why the song speaks to me as I feel that he is saying he has moved on and telling her to do the same but she can't just as I can't. I am exclusive to him in my heart, mind and body but he is looking for his future in another woman. Painful to know and be helpless to do anything about it... It's a take it or leave it cycle...One that I'm not ready to break...

With my dream girl I have this situation, maybe it&#039s not the shame, but is close. She had a boyfriend from 5 years ago. This is my situation and how I interpret the song in my context:

I meet and fall in love with a girl She already has (not a boyfriend!!) a fiancee. She falls in love with me. She can't leave her fiancee nor does she want to leave me. She sits down and decide to go for what she is comfortable with (Quote "I know I can live with him" as in she says jump and he says "how high?"). Then she goes AWOL..no calls, mail, nothing. I decide I want to move on emotionally and I do. Then she comes back to my life after a month (fiancee intact).

This song is a conversation between her and me after the period of silence. Me telling her how I feel and that she should just forget me and her trying to explain why she wants to go but can't. This song is a tribute to women who can't make up their minds and to the men they hurt in the process.

they broke up...but the love is still there, because of that he finds that he can't move on. he wished for infinaty and even though she loves him somethings stopping her. it hurts him evry time he sees her because he he knows its still there but she left him nd theres nothing he can do just wait for her...exactly my relationship

She fell in love with someone else. He didn't know she was looking or that she planned to leave him. She left. He was miserable and suffered pain. She came back because she decided she can't give them up. He's saying he wished the best for the both of them, he wished for infinity and if she doesn't want that with him she needs to "give it up" and let him go.
