  This song is about not idolizing the media darlings of our age whether they be actors, athletes, musicians, or whoever. He's saying don't get mystified by them they're just as messed up as anyone else. The quality of being outshined is when the world is worshipping the ground you walk on and you know its pure hypocricy because you're just getting by with your own problems. The power child is a reference to the baby Jesus whom he is saying even they have to kneel before in respect. Even as the media giants they are portrayed as they need His help too.
