at first i didn't understand the song, but after listening again i realized it was about a one night stand, something i can totally relate to. Good job Solange... I love this song ...

In my opinion I may be wrong but I think the song is about a guy "tony" not specific...that was a one night-stand but your feelings grow and you want it to be more (knowing the feelings are for the wrong reasons). You start questioning yourself why isn't he calling or coming around...but then you have to realize "tony" was just a one night thing...and thats why she goes about saying "tony actually the other night oh y" which all goes back to who T.O.N.Y is.
