A good söng!i once heard amid my sleep in my transistor and the lyrics made me almost shed my tears coz i recalled of a time i bet my love to my galfriend that i would tell her everything,only to realize that she was betraying me by laughing at me with her friends.to me,the song functions as source of solace after the heartbreak.thanx shontelle. :-)

She fell in love with him, but he was using her by stealing her lyrics to make a hit record. She found out and regrets being careless around him. Now shes moving on and wants him to shell better off.

She never thought it was her fault. She was simply taking responsibility. He got his record first, she got signed later. She also admitted that she didn't keep her responsibilities in mind, her priorities in order. In the end, she worked past it all, redeemed herself for HERself... got signed, later but she did it... and was able to tell everyone ON HER OWN "she" was happy, and "he" broke her heart. She also is just showing how there's no point in complaining about or loving someone who doesn't want your love... and was being mature about it and just moved on. Leading up to taking responsibility for herself.

I love the line that say, "And if youre done with embarrassing me/On your own you can go ahead and tell them." cause its like hes been telling people lies surrounding there relationship and break up, and whatnot, and shes saying if hes done talkin sh*t, he can go ahead and tell them that she really was happy, and that he broke her heart. this song really describes a &#039break up&#039 kinda thing me and this guy went through and he was lying about me, and i told him this same thing basically, if youre done embarrassing me and trashing my rep, tell them i was happy and now its over. he didnt, but maybe the guy shes talking about, had the guts to.

They were happy and they loved each other but circumstances wouldn't allow it. She's always known it was too good to be true. She knew he was too wonderful. Deep down she knew. It's her fault too. She doesn't blame him for leaving. He didn't want to leave either. She's let go. But she can't help but still feel the hurt and betrayal. Coz deep down even though she knew, she hoped. Now she knows how impossible it was to carry on. She's hurt. She's not gonna be able to love again like this.

I once heard this song and after I heard it, it got stuck in my head for 7 weeks. I had one of my favorite songs stuck in my head for 7 WEEKS!!!!!!! YAY!

I think this song is about a girl who was in a relationship, a fairly good one. She took caution and left. Now that time has past, she realizes that she's lost the best thing that has happened to her. He's on his own because she left but he's doing fine without her, maybe even better...while she is the one who is heartbroken, alone and may've been the one to blame. He's won and she's the one who's lost and that if she were to tell him she wanted him back, he can tell everyone it's impossible that they will ever be together...meaning she's a little too late!!!
