I know you're out there
You're in hiding
And you hold your meetings
I can hear you coming
We know what you're after
We're wise to you this time
We won't let you kill the laughter
In the twilight's last gleaming
This is open season
But you won't get too far
'Cause you gotta blame someone
For your own confusion
But I'm on guard this time
Against your final solution
We can hear you coming
No you're not going to win this time
We can hear the footsteps
Out along the walkway
We all know you're out there
Can you feel the resistance?
Can you feel the thunder?

My Grandmother hated everyone. Jews, blacks, Jehovah witnesses, Catholics...everyone. She was German. Me, I hate no one...I learned through her hatred to be open to all. I've had gay friends for over 50 years, back when it was illegal, though straight myself. I have friends who are natives, Asians and black. I always say the reason people hate Jews so much is because they went through the holocaust and what happened??? They built a nation out of dirt. They did not let what happened to them destroy them as a people. Too bad some other nations, and people can't learn from their example, and stop their whining, complaining and blaming others for their circumstances.
OH! So it's the Jew's fault for the Holocaust? You are a special kind of BIGOT!!!! You say you are not anti semite, BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!!
the only meaning this song has is what you give to it.
Namecalling - the first (and often last) refuge of the conservative.
Today we call them "wing-nuts".....no matter what side they sit on.
Yes, actually you DO start disliking something for no good reason. People become racist, sexist or any other kind of "ist" because they are taught that way by their parents. This starts because people generally distrust people/ideas or whatever that they are uncomfortable with. To make themselves feel better (not a "bad" person) they take small differences and turn them into large issues. It's amazing how some people can "see/witness/realize" things and become anti-whatever and not "see/witness/realize" things in people that are similar to them. Hitler was a perfect example of being able to take differences and turn it into hatred for a group of people. This is very effective when one wants to mobilize a country to stick together...by directing hatred towards a specific group. You also see it in smaller groups(ie"they" are taking our jobs) as well as groups such as the Klan and wing-nut religious groups.
Is anti-Semitism never the result of Jewish activity?
this is pure prophesy with what reagan began in the 70's and where it has taken the republican party. The republican party is nothing more than a thinly veiled branch of the Nazis. And "we can hear the footsteps"
Jews are 2% of the electorate, the GOP doesn't give a rat's ass about their votes.
Wikipedia: Lunatic fringe is a term used to characterize members of a usually political or social movement espousing extreme, eccentric, or fanatical views. It was coined by the 26th President of the United States, Theodore Roosevelt (1858–1919), to describe some American anarchists, especially those who engaged in propaganda by the deed. Read into it what you will.
It's about leftists, and their turning America into a commie utopia. San Fran Nan, Baruq Hussein Obozo, Bawney Fwank, etc
person below me is apparently a part of the 'lunatic fringe'. Go make a rad sign or something ya teabagger! Ha!
We need people with really loud boomboxes to play this song at teabagger events.
You "don't know what the song means."? Read the lyrics again. It's a message of support for everyone who understands the danger of the 'lunatic fringe.' The lunatic fringe includes delusional people like nazis and other racists, fundamentalists of all religions, ultra-conservative republicans, and terrorists.
Don't know what this song means, but it has the perfect cadence for bicycling and I love to hear it when I ride.
