Riff: Wiz Khalifa feat. Pharrell, Tuki Carter & Amber Rose – “Rise Above”

Dec 3, 2012

If the flight is private/We probably should board it/You see it you like it/I could prolly afford it

from Rise Above lyrics by Wiz Khalifa

On the surface it would seem that Pharell would be a saving grace, but Amber Rose negates all hope of a turnaround. Wiz’s flow is solid, and his thoughtful narrative reveals a more cerebral side. But it’s hard to ignore Rose whose very presence dilutes Wiz’s lyrical impact.
