Riff: The Script – “If You Could See Me Now”

Feb 28, 2013

It was February fourteen, Valentine’s Day/The roses came, but they took you away

from If You Could See Me Now lyrics by The Script

It seems mean-spirited to criticize a song written as an emotional tribute to two members of the band’s late parents. Its heart is in the right place but did the painfully MOR trio really believe the best way to say thanks to the guidance and support they received was in rap form? Really? [LISTEN].

I cant say I’m a big fan of rap music but the first time I heard this song I loved it and sometimes we don’t always want mushy ballads to say thanks.

i think the song is perfect i think they did the rap verson is because they may of thought it would bring in younger people for me it sure worked im 15 in a month so i dont think you said a good thing it their music their minds, body, and mouths so they can sound sing and anything else they want and should not get critesized for it and danny’s dad was a singer so i think he loved it and i just think the song is perfect and goodby 😛
