Riff: Robbie Williams – “Candy”

Dec 27, 2012

If it don’t feel good, what are you doin’ it for?

from Candy lyrics by Robbie Williams

Williams’ upbeat dance take on “Ring Around the Rosie,” complete with ‘50’s/‘60’s strings and horns, gives a summery bounce to its subject: a narcissistic vixen, played in the video by ‘Effy’ from Skins. It’s a sugary sweet summer jam, yet not nauseating – released at the wrong time of year, though.
