Houser’s midnight star-gaze sits on a 4-chord pop-chug fest, borrowing from fun.’s gang vocal fad. Par for the radio-country-course, “Moonlight” scrapes from the bottom of the pop-rock reject barrel and throws a Southern drawl on it. I’d rather listen to “the crickets’ riverside love song.”
