Riff: Phantogram – “Black Out Days”

Sep 20, 2013

Fireworks exploding in my hands/If I could paint the sky/Would all the stars all be shining or erased?

from Black Out Days lyrics by Phantogram

“Black Out Days” burrows pleasantly into your brain, but doesn’t offer too much that Santigold, Ratatat, and Rihanna don’t. Still, with that combination, this cryptically dark and slightly-schizophrenic jam would make any club tolerable for four minutes.
