Riff: Pete Seeger – “Turn! Turn! Turn!”

Jan 30, 2014

A time for love, a time for hate/A time for peace, I swear it’s not too late

from Turn! Turn! Turn! lyrics by Pete Seeger

The message may have been adapted from the Bible, but it was Seeger’s musical adaptation (and famous cover by The Byrds) that really reminded the world of the necessary “purpose” in every emotion or situation, however promising or dire. On that note, let’s all accept this “time to mourn.” RIP, Pete; [LISTEN].
