Riff: Ne-Yo – “Let Me Love You (Until You Learn To Love Yourself)”

Oct 10, 2012

Much as you blame yourself/You can’t be blamed for the way that you feel

Even such a lothario as Ne-Yo can’t get away with the patronising ‘self-help for beginners’ claptrap dished out on “Let Me Love You.” Sadly not a cover of Mario’s far superior 2005 ‘New Jack Swing’ pastiche, its hopelessly generic club sound confirms Ne-Yo’s forgotten what R&B actually sounds like.
