“We Can’t Stop” celebrated youthful indiscretions, causing an overblown, self-righteous uproar, drowned out by catchy synths. As a follow-up, Miley fittingly depicts both herself and the blowback as a “wrecking ball,” but the track fades into its predecessor’s shadow as a bland Bruno/Perry echo.
