Riff: K’naan – “Better”

Oct 14, 2012

Way before waving a flag in the FIFA/I was a dreamer/Life was a gamble/Born in a casino

from Better lyrics by K'naan

Big breaks, and an even bigger more polished sound, which equates to a giant glossy mess. It falls flat from the beginning and never recovers. The hook is so soiled in pop garbage you lose every sense of K’naan. His life story is amazing, and to see it buried under this atrocious beat is a shame.
