Kid Cudiis a bit conflicted here, tossed back and forth between styles – ones that he likely picked up from contemporaries like Kendrick Lamar and to some extent Chief Keef. He forgoes self-deprecation for braggadocio, and lyrically it’s not his best work. It fails to resonate across all fronts.
