Riff: Imagine Dragons – “Radioactive”

Feb 13, 2013

I raise my flags, don my clothes/It’s a revolution, I suppose/We’ll paint it red to fit right in/Whoa

from Radioactive lyrics by Imagine Dragons

Imagine Dragons attempt a deeper meaning, here, but because they hold back it softens the impact. The tentative message tries to veil itself with quasi-gritty instrumentation, but there’s nothing mysterious or edgy about it. It’s simply a faltering message with no backbone.
