Riff: Bad Religion – “Vanity”

Jan 21, 2013

Our vanity/Disgraced to face our own humanity

from Vanity lyrics by Bad Religion

Bouncing back from “Cruel World” with a blazer, “Vanity” is a punk drum-shredder’s dream: double-pedal blast-beats on a blistering minute-long look at hubris (and some more played out chords on the chorus). While BR are clearly legends, they could use a little metal influence to spice it up a bit.

Riff by Karl Ernest

Karl is a Seattle-based musician and writer at SONGLYRICS; a veteran of both east and west-coast scenes, he has performed with the likes of The Ying Yang Twins, David Arquette, Wynton Marsalis, among others. But he's no stranger to seedy dives or house shows, either.
