Riff: Bad Religion – “Dharma and the Bomb”

Jan 21, 2013

With your vedic mom/Yeah the Sergeant Major is dreamin’ of genie/And she’s armed with a borrowed polka dot bikini

from Dharma and the Bomb lyrics by Bad Religion

Weird mix: throw a bunch of ‘60’s pop culture references into a blender with a base of equally irrelevant Eastern religion nods – particularly to Hindusim and Buddhism – then wrap it all up with a Kerouac-based pun and a “swimmable” beat. Even for pop-leaning punk, it’s a little cheese-heavy.
