Riff: 50 Cent feat. Eminem and Adam Levine – “My Life”

Jan 30, 2013

I’m doing what I’m supposed to, I’m a writer, I’m a fighter/Entrepreneur, fresh out the sewer, watch me maneuver, what’s it to ya?

from My Life lyrics by 50 Cent feat. Eminem and Adam Levine

Rap’s twilight zone – solid flow on a Top-40 song (what?), but the hook’s half-whining, half-“fuck-me” tone annoys. 50’s first verse, or his “comeback, kid,” especially surprises in its Method Man-style blows. Replace Levine’s bleating with a more forceful singer to polish this track.
