Lil Yachty‘s album Teenage Emotions may have been a flop, but that hasn’t stopped the Atlanta-based artist from keeping his name in the spotlight.

In a recent appearance on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Yachty took a moment to give a primer on the longstanding animated series The Simpsons. With the help of Fallon and Questlove, Yachty reeled off all 59 major characters — from Dr. Hibbert and Moe Szyslak to Disco Stu and Duffman. It’s an impressive feat that has brightened up what has otherwise been a sour month for Lil Yachty.

The live version of the Simpson’s theme song (penned by the legendary Danny Elfman) is minimal enough for Lil Yachty to handle. Dressed in yellow and donning an iced out Bart Simpson necklace, he causally kicked tidbits of Simpson trivia, Yachty opening with the following verse:

You got Homer, Marge, Lisa and Bart
You got Maggie and Santa’s little helper to start
At 742 in a pink little house
Where everything is coming up Millhouse

This isn’t the first time Lil Yacthy has lent his skills to the world of animation; his elementary rhymes seem to suite that medium. He’s rapped over the Rugrats theme song and a Super Mario 64 beat all to critical acclaim.

It’s been a tough few months for the greenhorn, but maybe this little nugget of success will help steer him in the right direction. It appears nerdcore is the niche he’s been looking for all along.
