LINKIN PARK - Wisdom Justice And Love Lyrics

Artist: LINKIN PARK

Album: A Thousand Suns

Genre: Rock

  • Songwriters: Chester Bennington, Robert Bourdon, Brad Delson, David Farrell, Joseph Hahn, Michael Kenji Shinoda

I come to this magnificent house of worship tonight
Because my conscience leaves me no other choice
A true revolution of values will lay hand
On the world order and say of war
"This way of settling differences is not just'"

This business of burning human beings with napalm
Of filling our nation's homes with orphans and widows
Of injecting poisonous drugs of hate into the veins
Of peoples normally humane

Of sending men home from dark and bloody battlefields
Physically handicapped and psychologically deranged
Cannot be reconciled with wisdom, justice, and love

Do not be reconciled from wisdom, justice, and love.

That line says it all, really. Whoever mixed this on the album has some serious skill, but needs to ease up on the synth. I almost missed that the line changed from the end of the speech to this.

Deep......Deep deep stuff! I never knew Martin Luther was this deep. Linkin Park did a good job of going back into time and bringing in meaning from the past that is relevant to this day.
