I haven't heard the original but the version that Almighty put out by Belle Lawrence did is great! Denser does make more sense than dancer!

I'm sorry to correct you but it's 'Dancer'
try backing up your statement with fact rather than what you've made up in your head.
Firstly see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_(The_Killers_song) for a quote from the bands official website,
Secondly, I was at a Killers gig (Newcastle, UK) last Saturday and 'Dancer' was flashed up in lights on the stage behind the band while performing 'Human'
Thirdly, it's a song with a dance beat, did that not give you a clue?
My four year old child knew even knew it was 'Dancer'

It's not dancer or dead sir its denser as in are we human or is there more to us are "denser" then we seem to be. Its a comment on what people believe to be the human excitance and a challenge to the so called human exsitance and the phases "i am only human" it saying that maybe we are more than we give ourselves cerdit for

The "dead" explanation makes sense as it relates to the rest of the lyrics.

maybe it is about how the human spirit is being lost to technology; life is virtual reality and we cannot feel emotions or communicate with each other expect through sytems
