it seems like somebody struggling with sin. they feel the high and bottom of sin and don't like the volatility of it. They know what is right and want to do the right thing. Wayne does his part and makes it seem like his life is better than doing the right thing. Then the ending goes...don't live a lie. So it comes back around. But the majority of debt spendors won't get it and will continue to sink the ship U.S.A. America. Every super power comes to its knees if it loses its focus. Unfortunatly it seems like it's now our time...unless the greed reared immature Americans value diginity and faith over excess and celebration for nothing.

I think it is written from the perspective of a person who was a victim of abuse by a catholic priest.

1st verse:
The priests hide behind the collar - pray to justify how they live a lie (pedophile vs. priest) - repeat the crime over a long period of time - must pay for their criminal deeds one way or the other.

Chorus:
When the victim "arrives" to reveal the abuse, he "burns" the priest and makes him answer to a higher power. What the saints forgot (looked away) the victim reveals.

Second verse:
The victim feels disgraced by the father/priest, cursed him and tried to forget him by making immersing himself in work, but the pain buried cannot be forgotten and it made the victim bitter toward the world.

Last verse (after Wayne's stuff):
The victim wishes his past really didn't happen and that the lies the priests say (deny the abuse) were true, but he will no longer live the lie anymore.

this song is about betrayeal no arguments there. and as for lil wayne being awsome on it his part sucks and kills the song its lame and has nothing to do with the rest of the song at all.

I figured I would answer this question and take credit for it eventhough my sister, Mri, actually found the answer. I will break it down into parts, but the overall picture is the song revolves around the betrayal of JUDAS to JESUS..." I see your dirty face hide behind your collar" Judas when he confronted Jesus with the High Priest Guards couldn't look at Jesus directly in the eye......."And you take your time And you do your crime" If anyone has seen the Passion of Christ it seems it took Judas minutes just to kiss Jesus on the cheek....."Well you made your bed I'm in mine" he actually says "I've already made mine" (listen to the song) which means that eventhough Judas made his choice Jesus made his choice long before Judas decided to betray him... "Now the son's disGRACED He, who knew his father When he cursed his name Turned, and chased the dollar" Judas was one of the 12 apostles so basically he knew GOD and he chased the dollar means he betrayed Jesus for silver....."But it broke his heart So he stuck his middle finger To the world" after Judas saw what he did he threw the silver back at the high priest and was mad at himself and "the world" so he stuck his "finger" to the world and hung himself....."Because when I arive I bring the fire" I in this song predominately refers to Jesus so in this lyric he says that when Jesus arrives he brings the fire, the "Holy Spirit".........That is all I remember as for Lil Wayne's part...come on this song wouldn't be awesome if lil Wayne wasn't in it...what does Wayne's lyrics ever mean, it is just a bunch of words but out of his mouth they sound great that is why lil wayne is on the top....i am sure a lot of people won't agree with MY (wink wink) interpertation but hey if you could give a better answer, i think not, give it....thanks to all who read this i think i should've actually spent the last 10 minutes of my life studying for my Medical School Exam i have tomorrow....oh well....peace.

The lyrics refer to our youth who grow up in a materialistic and drug-infested culture perpetuated by nearby role models, whether fathers, uncles, brothers, mothers or friends, people who use the drugs and money as a way to achieve self respect and acceptance. Having never received unconditional, healthy and life-sustaining love from nurturing and loving caretakers, these kids continue the legacy of drugs and money despite knowing the risks, the ultimate destruction of self and others. They are willing to accept the consequences for the illicit behaviors perhaps believing they're not worthy of anything better. It's a tragic reality for so many of our youth today. I hope the underlying message reaches the ones who need it; the message that it's never too late to stop the destruction of self and others and choose a better way to live. Everyone deserves the right to live honestly and with dignity, but the choice is only theirs to make.
