The breeze moves through the trees,
Swiftly whipping the leaves,
As the wind meets my cheeks,
Turning them to color, pushing the current up the creek.
Chirps are suddenly silent
As their predators turn violent
The innocent all hide away
Leaving the others to wait and stay.
Look at, that blue, the purest I've ever seen,
And yet, fluorescents dampen the beauty,
Therefore, few stars are ever seen,
No dipper, venus, and the moon are left to be seen
Faults, fall on, the citizens yeah us,
Inhabiting all that's left
Leaving, so little of it pure,
It's just herded poisoned, damaged, broke, no care at all.
Now waves quickly roll in,
Bringing bottles and tins
From those to lazy to find
A garbage pale to throw away their trash, they leaves it behind.
Coasts are already turning,
Into garbage hounds quickly bursting,
The only people feeling the repercussions
Are those smelling the waste from them.
Most sand from the beaches is gone,
And everyone knows it's wrong
But so few people try,
Soon there'll be no songbirds they'll have died.
