The song is for a girls that is unavailable, maybe she is married or he is married. Listen the song, he can't stop it but he wants her, but he migth loose something that he can't, maybe a family. This is teh way I sense it.

This song is EXACTLY in the most fitting song choice for my life. There is someone that loves me & I will always love him, and no matter how many times we try to make it work..it's ALL wrong. I think "keep your love locked down", is another way of saying, "don't get caught up". He's also saying he loves her, but he can't let himself get caught up either because he loses himself when he's into her. ~Sam E.~

it means he has been waiting for her to decide to be with him and she cant make up her mind for some reason. maybe she is with someone else, or she is afraid, and he is hurting bad because he wants her, but he cant go away from her no matter how much he tries because he loves her!

well i know exactly what this means cuz im going thru it right now and when i heard it, i totally felt as though he wrote it for me. its's basically that he loves this girl so much but something happened during their relationship which caused him to want to love her from far away. he says he will love her in secret.
