Little girl fourteen flipping through a magazine
Says she wants to look that way
But her hair isn’t straight her body isn’t fake
And she’s always felt overweight

Well little girl fourteen I wish that you could see
That beauty is within your heart
And you were made with such care your skin your body and your hair
Are perfect just the way they are

There could never be a more beautiful you
Don’t buy the lies disguises and hoops they make you jump through
You were made to fill a purpose that only you could do
So there could never be a more beautiful you

Little girl twenty-one the things that you’ve already done
Anything to get ahead
And you say you’ve got a man but he’s got another plan
Only wants what you will do instead

[ Jonny Diaz Lyrics are found on www.songlyrics.com ]
Well little girl twenty-one you never thought that this would come
You starve yourself to play the part
But I can promise you there’s a man whose love is true
And he’ll treat you like the jewel you are

So turn around you’re not too far
To back away be who you are
To change your path go another way
It’s not too late you can be saved
If you feel depressed with past regrets
The shameful nights hope to forget
Can disappear they can all be washed away
By the one who’s strong can right your wrongs
Can rid your fears dry all your tears
And change the way you look at this big world
He will take your dark distorted view
And with His light He will show you truth
And again you’ll see through the eyes of a little girl

I like the song. It's very inspiring. It's true, whoever we are, whatever we look like, God loves us untiringly and constantly. In that we are so blessed.

God truly loves us just the way we are... after all we are made in His image no matter what see on the outside. His spirit and Love resides within all of us, although sometimes we may feel we are not worthy of it. Thankfully, He never turns is back on us. Amen.

When i heard this song i was emotional. I myself a 14 yr old have lately been struggling with my appearance and how people see me not only as a christian but as a friend. God has helped me understand that i dont need to look like those famous people and have the nice hair and clothes but the beauty is really inside my heart. I thank my friends and most of all God for helping me understand. By no means do i say that you cant look beautiful(makeup, clothes...etc)but the real beauty is in your heart:)

I just turned 21 and I am a junior in college and I am going through a lot of horrible things right now. I am felling more shameful and guilty then I ever have before for things in my past. This song is amazing and says it all. God loves us no matter what we do and always lets us start new and sees us as beautiful
Thank you Jonny Diaz!

I has heard this song a few times but finally really listened to the lyrics this morning as I was driving my 13 y.o. Daughter to school. She is having a difficult time entering Jr. High as a 7th grade student with the 8th grade boys being so awful to them. I also have a 21 y.o. Daughter who has Bern through a world of hurt in a horrible break up with her boyfriend. So this song seemed to fit both my daughters at the same time. I just gas to look up the lyrics and read them for this song. Wow...

i love this song. my friend showed it to me and it changed me. im only 13 but when i heard this it really got me thinking about how god made me as me and thats just something im going to have to think about when im down and upset. i think everybody at this age is going through a lot of the same things like drama and hopefully everyone who hears this song will turn the upset attitude into a more positive person.

At age 50, you wouldn't think this song would have such a profound affect on me....thank you for putting into words what EVERY girl (or grown woman) needs to hear and take to heart. I cry every time I hear the song played. God bless you!

Having three daughters myself and the oldest being 17, I can remember her going through a tough time beginning at age 14. She was saved at a young age and at age 14 the flesh began the battle with her heart. I am thankful to say that the heart is winning. She still has struggles at 17 but her heart has grown stonger because she has allowed GOD to reign in her life and has never been ashamed of HIM. She is a senior in High School this year and I pray that she continues on her journey for God, the one who will love her unconditionally. Thank You for the song, it brought back memories of her struggling at age 14 and how God has helped her overcome. I pray this song will help other young ladies battling the flesh as well.

I wish I would have heard these lyrics a long time ago, though I know God had a reason for the growth I went through years ago. Now my husband and I are expecting a little girl ourselves and this is our prayer for her each and every day.
