this song combines two seperate messages which compose of the refiners fire and the consuming fire. Though both are God, one we want the other is not ment of Christians. Every reference in scriptures from the OT to the NT is that of a warning of what God will do to those that turn to idols and away from God. Malachi 3:2- 7 KJV makes the seperation of the refiner and the consuming in this set of scriptures. the refining is there so that those that are in Christ will be saved from being consumed. So to turn around and in a worshipful cry to God and want the rath filled all consuming fire instead of the refiner's that will make us into the pure and Holy that God is transforming each and every Christian into for His Glory shows a level of immaturity. i encourage anyone that reads this to test this song against scripture if it aligns with scripture it is of God if it is not thats between you and your God.
