I thought it was "the king of kings, ingrate I am". I thought it was more fitting with the song, when I first heard it, it seemed like he was saying, "I am imperfect, I am damaged and a sinner, but my Father God loves me and wants me anyway."

Do not harden your heart. Give yourself to God. For God wants you. Why do you think Jesus bored out on the cross and died for your sins? For He loved you. You heard me right. He loves you! Each, individually. You don't need to convert yourself into a zombie for God, nor to even get God's grace. He loves you already, and is willing you pick you up where you are right now. Don't be deceived. Come to God. Give yourself to Him for He already has given all He has to you.
