Australian alternative rock band from Melbourne, Australia. Dallas Crane was named after the father of a mate of the band. In January 2004, the band signed a recording and publishing deal with Albert Productions, the home of AC/DC. The band recorded an album with Wayne Connolly, who has also produced You Am I and Underground Lovers. The self-titled album was released mid-July 2004 and the first single, "Dirty Hearts", made the ARIA top 50 on release in 2004. The album was well-received and seen as their best yet. Nominated for three ARIA awards, the album has already been called an Australian Classic.
