  Fist of all, why would run through the backwoods while bare? thorns, nettles etc would cause serious complications at best and permanent disfigurements at worst. In addition, what would it benefit he singer ( or listener to chase a hoodoo ( I understand they can be nasty when cornered what with magic, spells/incantations etc. Why on the 4thh of July....patriotic hoodoo chasing? Also what did "The Man" do to Papa? Is this a case of child molestation? All the more reason to remain clothed in the backwoods and not remain bare lest we titillate some perverse "the man" into striking or worst a molesting hoodoo who is already pissed because of an unwarranted dog pursuit byy a bare child or p[ubescent sent after "the Man" by his Papa who has been apparently victimized by "the man"...confusing John Charles Fogarty.....The Old Man Down the Road will truly pursue you for such antics and remember he has a suitcase covered with rattlesnake hide, he stands rght in the road and he makes the barking of the hounds which will surely confuse his or your or any one else's hounds. Be careful john. The backwooods are dangerous to a naked or bare person.
