chicago says that it is about song writing, wondering how much more to write... however, 25 and 624 or references to drugs (specifically LSD.... dont ask me how i know i just do)... so the song can be interpreted in many different ways, both ways seeming sensible

If you consider that he's waiting for the break of day, I think it's the time he's talking about. Like it's probably 25 or (2)6 minutes to 4am
