Chevelle - Highland's Apparition Lyrics

I wouldn't say that makes you stupid but I would definitely say that, to think we are the only sentience, that we are special, is an incredibly arrogant mindset that supports our own perception of reality. Imagine how quickly things would change (or at least scifi shows would have you think so) if we found out for sure that there were other sentients in the galaxy. Imagine how incredibly petty and childish and downright stupid all of our terrestrial concerns would become. It does make you stupid but the same absence of proof has led people to believe in mystical sky men, so it's entirely understandable why some people are doubtful.

Good guess about the ghost> But reading into the lyrics more and especially looking at the album cover it can be debated that it leans more towards seeing an extraterestrial and/or being abducted. If you open your mind to this you can see that some of the lyrics in the songs on this album are from human and/or alien points of view. The way we feel about them and how they probaly look at us> If you think we are the only inteligent life let alone: the ONLY life in even our own galaxy that exist you are just a stupid ignorant waste of space........

chevelle is the best band ever and the lyrics make plenty of sense, its about seeing a ghost
