Comments and Song Meanings

I agree that at first the song doesn't "grab" you. But the second, third, fourth, fifth time, it's great. This particular song had me in tears. It brought back a memory of a past love, whom I am now missing so much and wish "I" had done things differently and made different choices.

the thing about dylan,is when you first play some of his songs they don't grab you at first, but over the years i realized that alot has to do with your mood at the time.i've heard alot of dylan i did'nt like at first then after awhile i adored those songs.dylan is timeless and the best lyric writer of the last 100 years.

What really makes this song, besides Dylan's delivery which we alas take for granted, is the band chugging along very gently.
