In their 16th album’s opener (yes – 16th), Bad Religion’s “oozin’ ahs” propel a “lost at sea without a [moral] compass” metaphor as they aim to find both their way to shore and some ethical wisdom. Still, one can’t help but remind how tired this chord progression has become. Especially in pop-punk.
