Alan Jackson
Good Time
Sissy's Song
Why did she have to go
So young I just don't know why
Things happen half the time
Without reason without rhyme
Lovely, sweet young woman
Daughter, wife and mother
Makes no sense to me
I just have to believe

She flew up to Heaven on the wings of angels
By the clouds and stars and passed where no one sees
And she walks with Jesus and her loved ones waiting
And I know she's smiling saying
Don't worry 'bout me

Loved ones she left behind
Just trying to survive
And understand the why
Feeling so lost inside
Anger shot straight at God
[ Alan Jackson Lyrics are found on www.songlyrics.com ]
Then asking for His love
Empty with disbelief
Just hoping that maybe

She flew up to Heaven on the wings of angels
By the clouds and stars and passed where no one sees
And she walks with Jesus and her loved ones waiting
And I know she's smiling saying
Don't worry 'bout me

It's hard to say goodbye
Her picture in my mind
They'll always be of times I'll cherish
And I won't cry 'cause

She flew up to Heaven on the wings of angels
By the clouds and stars and passed where no one sees
And she walks with Jesus and her loved ones waiting
And I know she's smiling saying
Don't worry 'bout me
Don't worry 'bout me

This song makes me cry every time I hear it. I just lost my mother June 5th. Funny because I had never heard the song until I was on my was home from the Hospital the night my mother passed away. I means a lot to me because the lyrics fit my mother. she was 43 when she passed and she doesn't want us to cry cause she is in a better place. I miss you and love you mom.

There was a memorial service yesterday for a high school friend of mine. We just graduated this year. This song played at her service. Now when I hear this song, all I can do is think about her.. I miss her terribly. But like the song says, she's probably smiling down and saying, "Don't worry about me."

I love this song and think of my 96 year old mother who may not be with us much longer. I want this song to play at her service whenever it may be.

Alicia this is your song! You were a beautiful young daughter and mother. I hope God holds you close and your family even closer because they desperately need you especially tomorrow when this song is played at your funeral. We love you!
