I really wasn't sure what to think of this song at first. I assumed it was just another glamourized pop tune. Then I listened to it. REALLY listened to it. Adam's profound statements are that of someone who is working hard to fulfill a new dream, but at the possibility of losing something anchored in his life. A relationship albeit friend or lover that grounds him. Obviously, this new life is changing him and it's difficult for him to remain UNchanged though he needs this relationship. It is part of who he is and always will be. This could also be a reflection on himself and his personal self-image. Either way, it's profoundly beautiful.
