I think this song is about the Leto boys secretly being homosexuals and they can't tell anyone! So they hide everything, their secrets, their passions, their sins and they are trying to hide from GOD since the Bible says being a homosexual is an abomination against GOD.

this song isn&#039t about a relationship. it&#039s way, way deeper than that. it&#039s about Religion, faith and war. He talks to God in the song- &#039do you really want me dead, or alive to live a lie&#039 - that whole section is him talking to god and when he doesn&#039t get an answer he asks - &#039Where is your God&#039 - the bit where he says - "tell me would you kill to save a life?" = he is saying killing is a sin.

"tell me would you kill to prove you&#039re right" = but it&#039s not if you are killing for your religion

"crash, crash, burn" = suicide bombers believe they are killing to please their god. This could also represent 9/11 and the buildings falling?

"no matter how many lives that I live, I will never forget" = reincarnation

"this hurricane is chasing us all underground" = this means that all this fued between religion is causing people to die, whether it&#039s suicide bomers, or innocent civilians.

This song basically shows ho hypocritical religion is and how we need to lern to get along. He is reaching out to God to help him understand how God can make bad things happen. well that&#039s what i think anyway.

What I get out of the song is that it is about a couple with a relationship on the edge. The man is on edge cause everything he does is judged my his partner. The word kill is the crushing of the heart. Crash Crash burn is the fighting. Hurricane chasing then underground is them bottling up anger so they don"t fight because he really loves her. My wife listened to it one night and I told her this is us. explained the lyrics they way I read the song. Very strong and emotional song for her now. Very powerful. If anyone has read the House of Night series, I interpret this song based on what Zoey and her friends go through. This is the lovely part about music and lyrics you can interpret them how ever you'd like. This song and Kings and Queens give a lot of meaning to that series for me.
